Alastair Healey
Managing Director
Bachelor of Business (Hon), Master of Business (Marketing)
Alastair has been involved in the Queensland financial markets for over 30 years and has developed an impeccable reputation in this community. He brings to the position a wealth of experience and knowledge, in addition to an Honours and master’s degree in marketing.
In 1994 he was appointed as the general manager of marketing and business development for a local merchant bank and helped establish the three departments of securitisation, corporate advice and money market. Alastair has also founded and directed two successful private fixed income businesses in Australia, which both specialised in providing fixed income to middle market and retail clients. His experience in managing these businesses has provided him with the necessary expertise and skill in building and developing Gilt Investments.
By continuing to provide a service within the fixed income asset class, Alastair is able to draw on his already vast client base, as well as sourcing new potential investors. As the managing director of Gilt Investments, he is directly involved in providing expert knowledge to clients and distribution of fixed income financial products to the retail and wholesale markets.

Carol Kitzelman
Operations Manager
After completing school in the early 1980s, Carol began a science degree. However, she decided after a year that science was not to be her future career direction and took a job with Queensland Treasury Department. It was here that Carol gained experience in the investments division and decided that this was where her interests lay. This was the era of physical stock and paper-based accounts. Carol started out recording, undertaking the physical settlements, and preparing the accounts. Over the coming years settlements became electronic, more financial products came on the market and computers systems were put in place to keep track of investments.
Carol has worked for various agencies, including Queensland Treasury Corporation and Queensland Investment Corporation. However, she has always worked in the settlement area, aside from a short time spent helping on the Equities dealing desk. When Carol left Queensland Investment Corporation in 2000 to have a family, she was the Manager of the Investment Administration Branch. In this role, Carol was responsible for staffing, settlements, budgets, and reporting. This required liaising with all divisions of the Corporation. In addition, Carol has completed various Securities Institute and ASX courses.
