Our aim is to provide unlimited and seamless access to fixed income products in Australia and overseas. Gilt Investments Managing Director, Alastair Healey, brings to the company an impeccable reputation and more than 25 years experience in the Australian financial markets.
A cornerstone element of Gilt Investments service is its independence and impartiality. The company is not aligned with any financial institution and/or product originator. This impartiality is reflected in the comprehensive suite of fixed income products offered to our clients, including (but not limited to) bonds, terms deposits, and short term securities.
Our aim is to provide a professional and reliable service which enables clients to achieve their short-term and long-term fixed income goals.
Gilt Investments core service is providing clients with access to all term deposit rates in the market. As part of this service, the company sources daily rates for clients and manages all of the associated administrative and compliance requirements, for example Know-Your-Client (KYC) documentation. Gilt Investments streamlines its deposit placement service as much as practicable and often all that is required is a client signature.
Primary or new issues include securities that are being offered to the market for the first time. New issues are brought to the market by those seeking to raise finance for a range of purposes, such as company expansion or diversification. New issues can involve a range of fixed income products, including short dated Negotiable Certificates of Deposits (NCDs) through to long dated government, corporate and foreign bonds. When a security is issued in the primary market it is mandatory that buyers are provided with a prospectus information memorandum and term sheet. Borrowers approach companies, such as Gilt Investments, to distribute the product to their client base. As part of its complete fixed income service, Gilt Investments is involved in the primary market as new issues complement many of our clients' portfolios.
Gilt Investments provides direct entry into the secondary market for professional, sophisticated, and retail customers. After a new issue is placed into the market it can be traded on a secondary market such as the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) or bond market. Gilt Investments provides clients with access to securities being traded on the secondary market including: fixed, floating, and specialised bonds. As part of its service, Gilt Investments can also arrange custody of purchased stock.
Gilt Investments takes a personal approach to constructing client portfolios by ensuring it develops a deep understanding of clients fixed income needs. Specifically, Gilt Investments seeks to understand a client's appetite for risk, cash flow needs, required flexibility in entering and leaving the market (i.e. liquidity), desired investment term (i.e. time to maturity), and money available to invest (i.e. face value). Gilt Investments also provides clients with monthly fixed income valuations to ensure that their portfolios remain ahead of the investment frontier and aligned with their fixed income goals.
Gilt Investments provides clients with general financial product advice in the form of suggestions, recommendations, and advice about a portfolio of fixed income financial products. It does not provide personal financial advice based on individual financial circumstances, objectives, or needs. Gilt Investments recommends that clients obtain and read the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) for any fixed income product before deciding whether or not to invest in that product.
